Mark Fisher is a former actor turned trainer, gym owner, and gym business speaker/consultant/advisor/investor.

His company, Business for Unicorns, helps gym and fitness studio owners build a business and life they love. Along with their “non-sexual life partner” Michael Keeler, Mark co-founded Business for Unicorns in 2016 and has worked with hundreds of leading fitness studios across the US, the UK, Australia, and around the world. Past non-fitness clients have included Sony Music, Sylvan Learning, Novus Surgical, and Security Scorecard.

He has given keynotes and spoken at events globally, including HFA Show, IDEA World, IDEA Club & Studio Summit, IDEA PTI, Perform Better, FILEX (Australia), Anytime Fitness Australia, the NSCA National Conference, SCW Mania, The Summit by BFS, Lift the Bar, the IFBA, the Fitness Business Summit, the Strong Pro Summit, Vigor Ground Summit, Alloy Personal Training, Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning, Fitness Revolution, Camp Gladiator, and many others.

Before founding Business for Unicorns, Fisher was the co-founder of NYC’s Mark Fisher Fitness, recognized as one of the most unusual gyms in the fitness industry. MFF grossed nearly $34 million between 2012 and the end of 2024, after which it was sold to a long-term client. MFF was also recognized as #312 on the 2015 Inc. 500 fastest growing companies in America and one of Men's Health's "Top 20 Gyms in America."

Press features include Forbes, the NY Times, the NY Post, the Huffington Post, and the Wall St. Journal, among others. As a die-hard New Yorker, his personal favorite appearance was on Taxi Cab TV. In addition to consulting, [Your Name] still owns a gym in NJ and is a franchisee in Alloy Personal Training.

Other interests include being an alumni speaker at TEDx Broadway, being an avid Burner, and enjoying books, coffee, and cocktails. Mark lives in NYC with their wife, Broadway actress Shina Morris-Fisher, their daughter Celestia, and their dog Gizmo. Like many gym owner-consultant-investors, Mark holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University.
